About Contact Lenses

Millions of people have selected contact lenses as an alternative to eyeglasses.  In addition, special orthokeratology contact lenses can help improve visual acuity and help prevent your, or your children's myopia from getting worse.  Contacts can also be used to cosmetically enhance or change eye color.  We custom tint lenses in our own "in-house" custom tinting facility.

There are many varieties of contact lenses including soft conventional lenses and rigid gas permeable lenses.  Disposable soft lenses now include astigmatism, bifocal, brand new technology for safer overnight wear, cosmetic color, and 1-day single use.  Orthokeratology "vision retainers" rapidly reduce nearsightedness, providing a safe alternative to refractive surgery.  BRACE Refractive Therapy can free your children of wearing contact lenses or eyeglasses during the day.  This procedure also helps prevent further increases in prescription during growth years.

Night & Day - Meeting All Expectations

After fitting several hundred patients with CIBA Focus Night & Day contact lenses, my enthusiasm for this revolutionary product continues to grow.  In all my years of practice, I have not experienced as much patient satisfaction from any new product introduction.  Not only does Night & Day outperform other soft contact lenses, it is one of the healthiest lenses you can wear.

The majority of patients fit have elected to wear this lens for continuous wear of up to 30 days and nights.  However, Night & Day should outperform any daily wear lens currently on the market.  So, if you are still wearing ordinary conventional or disposable lenses on a daily war basis and choose not to sleep with your lenses, you can greatly improve your lens wearing experience by upgrading to Night & Day for daily wear only.

What Sets Night & Day Silicone/Hydrogel Technology Apart from Ordinary Contact Lens Materials

  • Six times more oxygen delivered to the eye as compared to ordinary contact lenses

  • Wearing Night & Day on a continuous wear schedule has demonstrated comparable safety to wearing ordinary lenses on a daily wear schedule

  • Biocompatible surface resists deposits and adherence of microorganisms

  • Superior comfort...requires less water than any other soft lens and doesn't tighten on the eye (excellent for dry eyed individuals and computer users)

  • Aberration blocking optics allows for greater depth of focus and superior acuity

  • Whiter eyes observed in the majority of wearers

  • Superior handling and durability

Lens Replacement

A low cost service contract is available from the Contact Lens Center of Lynbrook that will help minimize replacement costs for lost, damaged, or worn-out lenses.  This same contract also reduces the cost of unexpected problem visits and annual examinations.  We highly advise owning a spare pair of lenses for those unexpected emergencies.

In addition, we offer "Frequent" and "Planned" Replacement Programs for soft contact lenses that encompass everything necessary to manage your contact lens care, including continuous professional care and all solutions and care products for a year.  Either our staff, or Dr. Feldman, would be happy to discuss the details of these programs with you.
